Radiant style heaters work by transferring heat directly to objects through infra-red waves. This means you’re not wasting electricity by simply heating up the surrounding air and you ensure that the objects (such as people) are heated as required.

This direct transference of heat also means they are a great choice for windy or exposed locations, ie. if you are near the ocean.

Radiant bar heaters are especially effective if you are trying to heat a relatively enclosed space such as a porch or an outdoor kitchen area.

Safety

We’ve all had that moment of fear when someone gets too close to an outdoor heater, whether it is a portable gas heater (dangerous) or a woodfire heater (even more dangerous).
